The day I left Hong Kong was a very exciting day! I had to say goodbye to my best friends, and even my adorable dog Rusky.
I woke up in the morning ready to finish packing all of my belongings into a shared suitcase with Alex and Azania, my two sisters. I folded and packed my clothes, I packed my stationery, my toiletries and my books after a significantly long two hours. As the oldest, I helped pack Azania’s toys and belongings safely into our suitcase with ease. At the end of the day, we ate early dinner since our flight was during the late evening. I went outside to see Rusky so that i could say goodbye to him. At that moment he was slightly aggressive because he was extremely tired of the chaotic day he just had. I couldn’t pet him seeing that I would be bitten. I walked to him slowly crying, wishing I didn’t have to leave him there. I said goodbye knowing he didn’t understand. To this day, I miss Rusky the most. I got into the car crying as we drove off towards the Hong Kong Airport.
We arrived at the incredibly empty airport much earlier than we needed to. We brought in the luggage that looked like mountains and it surely weighed more than my family all together. We went through the checkup, administration place, baggage check-in, and much more before we arrived at the main airport where all the shops, lounges, and airport gates were. Our gate was unbelievably far away so we ordered a buggy that took my worrisome away since then I didn’t have to walk to the gate. After the drive, we boarded the plane and it took us all the way to Istanbul where we boarded another plane that was half the size of the previous plane. It took us from Istanbul to Bodrum where we went into a van that drove us towards Six Senses Kaplankaya Resort. We stayed there for a week.
The first night in Kaplankaya we had to quarantine in our villa for 24 hours. The next day I felt extremely excited to start my day. We went over to my dad’s friend’s house for dinner and at their house, I met a new friend named Andrea. I was so happy because at that point I didn’t have any friends to play with, the joy I had was unforgettable happiness. After a week, we moved to Hidden bay Theos where we stayed in a MANSION! The Mansion had 3 floors, 3 swimming pool-sized living rooms, 7 bedrooms that had a double bed in each, 2 kitchens, 2 swimming pools, and much much more. My face exploded with surprise like a volcano. I’ve never stayed in a mansion in my life!!! I ran through the open doors not expecting an elevator to be there. I went up the elevator with excitement ready to pick the nicest room. I sprinted towards a room that was triple the size of my room in HK. I thought to myself, this is gonna be a crazy yet fun trip! After an enjoyable few days we decided to go back to Kaplankaya so that we could say goodbye to some friends and so that we could spend time with them before we left. On the road trip to Kaplankaya but in the middle of it we stopped at Ephesus III to explore the ancient ruins. We stayed there for a few hours then got back onto the road. We drove for hours and hours and hours until we arrived at our destination. I walked into our villa with a light smile on my face and came out like I just won a million dollars! Alex and I got electric scooters! Our faces were blowing up like bombs, our eyes were like security cameras looking at the scooters from top to bottom, that was one of the happiest days of my life! After a few days of fun, we went over to Arabella Boat and started our journey.
