Hi Alex. We have great schools of Dusky Dolphins in our Britannia Bay. They are normally in quite large schools. We also have small family schools of Heavyside Dolphins. (What a silly name!) they are normally no bigger than eight or so members. I used to try and communicate with them from my kayak, by banging on the side of the kayak with my paddle. All I succeeded in doing was going out to where Uncle Colin was diving for fish. They saw him and dived straight down next to him, and he thought they were sharks and nearly died of fright!
Maybe they also died of fright seeing Uncle Colin and his grey beard.
